Now back to my card which I had a bit mad on the embossing, first off the sweet image is a Stamping Bella another one of the teacup ones although she in a teapot. I used Swiss Dots, and Divine Swirls from the Cuttlebug especially love the the swiss dots on the flowers. The butterfly is die and embossing set which I forgot I had and the of course my favourite corner is in fact Cuttlebug too. The body of my butterfly is actually a Magnolia Doo Hickey part of their butterfly.

From here you need to go to the super talented Sarah for more inspiration :-) I would appreciate a comment if you would like to leave one Smile
Blog sequence list to be posted on the challenge blogs for referral

Simon Says Stamp and Show

The last stop on the hop is the Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge blog. You will need to leave a comment there with the names of the 3 blogs with treasure chest pictures. The comments will be moderated so you will not be able to see the answers.
Good luck
Guess who got the time wrong

Pretty in Pink

So there I am blaming Mr Blogger yesterday well I have to apologise to him because it was Mr Virgin who couldn't find anything wrong with my Broadband other than I couldn't get on the WWW. Of course Sods Law its now working but if I disappear you know why.

Now you may be wondering why I'm posting a layout  and not my challenge card for Simon Says Stamps Challenge. This is because we having a Stamptember Blog Hop but it doesn't start till 5pm UK time well I hope thats right so you will need to pop back then.
Now back to my layout I saw this sketch on Scrapology and I knew what photo to use
The papers are Crate paper I think it could be Blue Hill, the flowers are almost a tin of Primas and the pearly swirl is from Prima too they actually came from Simon Says Stamps who have an amazing collections of everything Prima. Apart from plain cardstock and my Martha Stewart deep edge doily punch, few leaf punches and a compass thats it.
It looks even better in RL but why oh why does the camera screw up the quality of a layout I'm really pleased with.
Back at 5pm.

Blue Unicorn

I saw this Unicorn on someone's blog and I just had to have him, he's from Cuddly Buddly digi images. I didn't realise how many layers he would take but I think he was worth it.
As you know its Tuesday so its time for a new Everybody Art Challenge this week its a sketch, I was going to add it to the post but Mr Blogger wouldn't load thank goodness this card was already a draft post.
I may have cheated with my butterflies and I also turned the sketch to suit the main mat.
The sentiment is from Pink Gem Designs, the butterflies are Tonic punch and Martha Stewart.
We would love for you to join us and do check out the team's fabulous creations.
Forgot to mention my purchase from QVC stamp around the page stamps arrived on Saturday and I was impressed how well my first attempted looked still not sure it would for cards but certain it would for scrapbooking, now I wish I brought that punch from the Glitter Pot now.

Pink and Orange!

I'm not happy with this card, I made it when I started to feel under the weather, not sure if it was the papers or the colours but I love Mo's little girl digi image.
I turned the sketch on Cute Card Thursday to make the card.
I carefully matched where the image is to place the verse underneath so you can't see it from the front.
Now I know I wasn't feeling well no way would I have left that blue card on the left just plain.
I don't feel so tired but my poor joints are not happy not helped falling in the back door but I don't think the weather is helping either.

Eat Chocolate

This card is for my Sister the one thing she is missing on her diet is Chocolate, lucky for me I don't miss Chocolate at all but it quite a sacrifice to miss out food for a glass of wine!
I've used the Sweet Sketch Wednesday sketch and the last of My Minds Eye Pinky set of Lime Twist.
I used a Stampin Up border for the centre strip with the ribbon and two Doo Hickey swirls. Of course the cute image is from Mo Manning.
I've not been feeling great lately not that I wish to moan on my blog because that simply isn't what I want to blog about. But it probably wasn't the best idea to go Craft shopping but it did take my mind off my aches and pains for a while but did put paid to doing anything crafty when we got back. Paying for it today so maybe some Christmas colouring watching awful telly instead.

Sketch One

We have a sketch from Nat this week at Penny Black Saturday Challenge and even though my PB image isn't very big it worked a treat.
It also gave me the opportunity to use the Tim Holtz clock die which means it will work for Papertake weekly too. The papers are Echo Park Springtime and don't seem to be able to stop using the old Hero Arts sentiment.
Do hope you can join in this week and don't forget to check out the challenge blog to see the fabulous selection made by the DT.

Something for the Weekend

Another pile of High Hopes Stamps this time is Christmas stamps.
All my favourites I have kept but I know I won't use these while I've got them so I've added Mr Linky and I will draw it on Monday so with a bit of luck the person who wins will send their address so I can get Hubby to post it on Tuesday.

Just a Wee one

There's a fabulous sketch at Pink (Ink) Sketches and I had recently brought some Digi images from Cuddly Buddly including this adorable Wee One.
The papers are Kaiser Miss Nelly and I've used Doo Hickey swirl with EK success flowers. I've used brads for the centres so that I could use one to hold the corner down.
My sister rang me yesterday to tell me it was QVC Christmas Crafting and that there was launch of Martha Stewart stamping round the page well that phone cost me about £19 not sure that the stamps would work so well with cards but I definitely could see me using on layouts. It cost my Sister £19 too.

First Dance

I had a bit of a problem with this card, I used the Sketch Saturday sketch for this week using the fabulous Wedding image from Mo Manning. I got everything stuck down and then I tried to put flowers on the card.
Well I must of been moving flowers for ages before I finally gave up.
The Heart embossing folder came out of a set which worked out quite expensive cos I've only ever used the folder but it as come in handy so many times. If you carefully line up the hearts you can use it twice to make a square mat like the swiss dots. The papers are First Edition Summer Breeze, Hero Arts sentiment and the cuttlebug corner die.
I so wish the flowers would've of worked just feels its missing something and yes I even tried swirls too. Guess I'm so hard to please.

WOYWW and LIM

Every Kitchen should have one much to the annoyance of my Hubby but this is where the bug lives on this WOYWW. My desk look the same as last week,  mat cleared ready to make another card, the pile of the right continues to get larger as do the scraps on the left so I thought for a change I show where my bug lives.
If we could I think my Hubby would be more than happy for me to have a larger craftroom in hope that parts of my Hobby remains in one place.
Like the dining room for instance where there is a pile of coloured images waiting to be made into a card. I really just wanted to show that I can keep plants alive well at least one. This the orchid that my DD brought and the flowers promptly all fell off. Not only did I get it to reflower last year but after a rest at the beginning of the year its now flowering again.

I leave you with a card that I wanted to make the other week for LIM where you had to use your country's flag colours but just didn't have time to but it will work for this weeks On the Move challenge. Didn't realise my Christmas Box Post has been ShowCASed, many thanks.
The scooter is a Little Claire image that I've had for quite a while.

A Couple of Cards

So this week at Simon Says Stamps challenge is a fabulous sketch from Dawny and the DT is showcasing Lawn Fawn stamps not a requirement to enter the challenge just wanting to show what amazing goodies Simon Says Stamps sell.
Now this is the challenge that Jo and I simply forgot that there was a sketch involved and got carried away and made a card forgetting the sketch. You can find mine here I used it for another challenge.
So this time I made the flower with the Lawn Fawn stamps and using distress inkpads Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick. I made a complete mess of the Martha Stewart border so thats why there's posts in my fence and then discovered Tilda was a bit big for the sketch so I cut the border to make a gate. Yes hidden at the top is the deep edge doily punch and the swirls are EK sucess punches.

Now before I show the other card I made not using the sketch cos I was have so much fun making up the flowers.
You need to Save the Date
We need you all here to join us on a
HUGE Stamp-tember Blog Hop and Treasure Hunt !!

For the second year in a row the Simon Says Stamp and Show & the Simon Says Stamp Challenge are joining forces to celebrate the approaching fall and winter holidays. Be sure to come back on August 31st, (MN Ohio Time, 6 pm CET ) to start the hop. It will run through to September 5th. Simon Says Stamp is offering a FANTASTIC GRAND PRIZE , and there will be other opportunities to win some hidden treasure too ! So make a note in your diaries and make sure you are here to join in the FUN !! :-)

I decided to make a CAS card this time. First I embossed the image in gold embossing powder and used the white for the flowers, this was so the swirls were gold. The single sheet of pattern paper is Basic Grey so I guess I can enter it in the Anything goes at the Basic Grey Challenges.
Meanwhile back to Simon Says Stamps don't forget to join us Dawny's sketchs are brilliant and so easy to use and there's a fabulous prize for one lucky winner but you do have to in it to win.

Blue and Brown

It's another challenge on Everybody Art Challenge and  this time is for Blue and Brown. I decided to used these My Minds Eye papers and they cried out boy/man card. I love this footballer from Karen Doodles and decided he was perfect for the papers.
I recently got send some bunting images but I was certain they looked familiar turns out they're Magnolia and I did in fact have the stamp but not sure I want to paper piece them again far too fiddly.
Its only right that the Martha Stewart zigzag punch comes out to play when it for male card and instead of a bow I use a knot. Some faux brads job finish.

So whose won my Everybody Art Challenge 3rd Birthday candy.

Another Sweet Sketch Wednesday

I wanted to use these PATP from Martha Stewart again time to justify having it in my stash and the sketch on Sweet Sketch Wednesday was perfect for it.
I used a Penny Black stamp and then foolishly decided to stamp direct to the paper and if I haven't stamps so close to the bear's foot I would have covered it up since its not perfect.
The paper is My Mind's Eye Lime Twist sure getting my money's worth out of them but not sure the same can be said about the new ones a bit grungy.
The funky flowers have had their petals nipped off to match the border flowers and the sketch really had a place for one flower but I had to sneak in another couple.
After all the time I spent making kits it didn't make me more efficient obviously spent far too much time chatting.

Totally Christmas at the Sugar Bowl

Having coloured this Sugar Nellie image I then went off to find a sketch the obvious start was the Sugar Bowl where there was a fab simple sketch. As you can see I managed to fill up the clean design with the Marianne Christmas tree die loved them last year and as yet haven't found one that comes close. I also discovered that there is a Christmas in August Challenge at the Totally Papercrafts Challenge so may card fits that as well.
I also used the Martha Stewart Snowflake and Icicle border punches and the papers are First Edition all finished with a bit of glitter and the image with some flowersoft/flock.
Nearly forgot some red pearls.
May Hubby reckons Christmas is coming because X factor is back on the Telly.
I spent most of yesterday sorting out papers and cardstock to match photos and made kits up to do at the crops when I go. I was determined that I wasn't going to do the wedding album with the same papers not sure I can do that again for a while.
So hopefully Mr Blogger behaves and post this while I get ready to got to Mychett.

Shabby chic

At Penny Black Saturday Challenge is Shabby Chic this week which to me is just a posh way of saying distressing and we all know how I love that.
So I inked every thing in sight well except the cream lace, yes even the ribbon got touch of distress ink so it would look so bright. The papers are My Mind Eye and funky flowers with the doo hickey swirl to decorate. I love this fab PB stamps it works for so many events but don't know whats happen to puss cos he is looking a bit wishy washy.
Do hope you can join us this week and don't forget to check the amazing creations by the DT.

Mr Motivatior was missing yesterday didn't feel like making a card so I went through some of my Cross-Stitch mags that I've kept for years for the charts inside but now I've taken out the ones I want to keep and put them in plastic wallets in a binders but there still a couple of piles yet to go through.

Baby Spit

Not sure why this baby is called Spit Happens but I do love the Mo Mannings babies and this one is so cute too.
I've used the Sketch and Stash sketch and the papers are My Minds Eye. I have inked the edges round the images with Antique Linen distress inkpad not too much just enough to take the bright stark white away and tone it in to match the papers.
Ususal suspects to finish funky flower punch and Quickutz corners and the stamping up oval punches with a Woodware sentiment.
It's Scrapbuddies at Mychett this Sunday and now my Vegas trip has been scrapbooked I need to sort out my crop bag and find the papers I brought for niece's wedding photos they're in a safe place just need to work out where that is!!!!!
Found out the latest Challenge on Mo's Challenge is for blue, I reckon theres enough blue on my card to enter it too.

Something else cute in a teacup

So there I was merrily making DT cards  and suddenly realised that I wasn't using the element of the challenge and in fact I had done not once but twice but I managed to find a challenge that would work for this card.
Papertake Weekly have a bingo challenge and I've choosen the vertical middle line Pearls, Ribbon and Free.
I love these Stampbella teacup girls and Simon Says Stamps have them in store so my collection is now up to four of them, not sure how many there is which is a good job really cos then I would want them all.
The papers are First Edition and possibly went over board on the deep edge doily punch and the flowers are Lawn Fawnstamps. I embossed them in white and  using Milled Lavender and Dusky Concord to colour them.
I've found out the blog that used the Tim Holtz clock die it Debbie and she makes a much better job at using then my poor efforts.

Scrapbooking and WOYWW

Whats on my WOYWW this week, well I thought I better check the stampin up die worked and there's some Stampabella stamps that've arrived from Simon Says Stamps this week. There's some images ready to make into cards, also a notebook with some challenge sketchs to choose from.
As you can see I'm ready to start making cards but it will be a day or two before you find out which ones.
I'm sure if you're a regular blog visitor  you know I've been making aLas Vegas/LA scrapbook its finally finished.

Thanks Kath for pointing out my spelling mistake can't believe my family and friend who have already seen it missed it, but its fixed now will photo in daylight to replace it. The title was based on the song by Meatloaf Kath but that what it said on the mirror too.
I've had to go CAS since Mr Mojo packed up and left and refuse to come back till it was finished.
Didn't realise I hadn't photo quite of few of layout so this is only a few of the last ones.

Time for Tea

Its a Food and Drink challenge at Simon Says Stamps Challenge and although I wouldn't fancy a cup of mouse nor would I like drinking from a cup that a mouse has made his home in these Penny Black mice are so cute.
The papers are First Edition Hideaway and I had seen the Tim Holtz clock die on others cards so I had to have it too. The swirls are EK success punch that get push aside for the doo hickey swirl and I do think hidden under the ribbon is the Martha Stewart deep edge doily punch.

Do hope you can pop over to the challenge blog and check out the wonderful creations and don't forget someone has to win this fabulous prize.
Have little ones still on Holiday are they getting bored, then why not get them to join the Childrens Challenge of Anything Goes there's two prizes to win and you know you have lots of scraps and the paper you wonder why you brought well nows the time to use them.
