Friends Forever

The challenge this week is for Friendship on Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge and I think this Mo Manning stamp from Stampavie is perfect for the challenge. The papers are Bella Blvd that I picked up from Ally Pally.
I've used the sketch from Stamp with Fun and used various flowers and punches to finish.
I see the crooked photographer is back!
All of you that have young children or even teens who think one day you won't worrying about your offspring think again. My DD is in her mid twenties and yesterday she left at 8 am on a bus to get a train and tube to Kings Cross to catch a train to Edinburgh then onto Dundee, a total of 8 1/2 hours and I couldn't settle till I got a text to say she had arrived and was with her friend, phew.
Now I rest easy till she does the return journey.

Tropical Holiday

I've had this cute PB image coloured and ready to go for a while just waiting for the right challenge. Not sure if this week Penny Black Saturday Challenge is the right one but I made it worked.
For the challenge it needed 3 flowers, I can tick that box since I put my 3 flowers together, yes that is a brad but it didn't say I couldn't use one. I found the smallest yellow buttons I could find and gosh wasn't I lucky that there is just enough room for a bit ribbon and a bow.
I love this stamp, I managed to get it from Simon Says Stamps a little while back and I've used only one sheet of patterned paper which is Basic Grey but I've no idea what pack.
I spending today looking for Mr Mojo, I've a weekend at home and hope to spend it crafting.

Princess Tilda

Yes Mr Mojo has left the building, I'm still not happy with this card. I made it for the Anything Goes Challenge on Just Magnolia.
The papers are K& Co and I saw the stars being used on another blog and thought what a great idea but I used the silhouette button on the cricut. I've also run them through the xyron and glittered them. I think the problem is I want them raised but even I can't chop up sticky fixers that small.
The flowers from Wild Orchid have been stickled so has Tilda's dress.
I was going to do that photo that shows your craftroom on a Wednesday but to be honest my looks the same every Wednesday. Its in need of a drastic makeover so much so my Hubby has taken a couple of days off at the end of May to do it, My room is 83 inches by 53inches and he thinks he will take one day just to empty it, me I think he's exaggerating.

Buttons, Bow and Bling

Remember the Kaiser pad that fell into my basket whilst shopping at Simon Says Stamps, well here it is again. I must say its a gorgeous pad with some glitter, some embossed and some flock. The sheet I've used is glittered although the camera doesn't show it. I've loads of cream flowers but generally I use mainly white so I use a glimmer mist to change the colour and I'm really please how they turned out.
So the card is for the Simon Says Stamps Challenge, for Buttons, Bow and Bling, obviously that would be why I've used buttons for my flower centres, the bow wasn't a problem it would be a surprise if there wasn't one. The glitter card and Glimmer mist flowers are my bit of bling, add a sweet Greetings Farm girl and the job is done.
It's a good job I made this card in good time because Mr Mojo as decided seeing as the weather is so nice as cleared OFF.

Friday Sketchers Gem

Love these papers they're that Bella Blvd I used for my LOTV bear but these ones are more girly. This is card is made using Friday Sketchers sketch and I've used one of Pink Gem Chloe stamps. I've also used the most expensive cuttlebug folder, its the heart one that I brought with a word die that I've never used.

Lazy Sunday Afternoon

Isn't it always the way, you struggle to think of a song title and when you've made the card, loads of ideas pop into your head. I do think though that this LOTV bear is perfect for the song title of Lazy Sunday Afternoon by the Small Faces.
Why the song titles, well thats the challenge over on Everybody Art Challenge this week.
The paper are Bella Boulevard, it is double sided but don't like that side, so I was in a bit of dilema since I didn't have a co-ordinating paper. So I used I cuttlebug embossing folder to break down the paper otherwise it was going to make you cross eyed.

Poorly Mouse

I managed to get my hands onto this cute little Henry mouse at Ally Pally and only just got round to colour him. I've used the sketch that Bev has done over on Whiff of Joy and had to use my MS punch, afraid you will have to bear with me while I get it out of my system. The papers are Basic Grey Kioshi and I even used it for the flowers using the plain colours.
The sentiment is Hobby Art but I'm afraid I took the craft knife to them and chopped them in half so it would fit in the punches.
The copic class was brilliant and while Karen and Wendy from Stamping and Memories were explaining about the copic, there was light bulb moment why I was going wrong. We were taught different techniques on blending and a few more copics were brought. Not sure I like being a novice again but you will be seeing my poor attempts till I get better.
I'm so looking forward to this weekend, there are no plans to do anything and even Hubby isn't working with Mr Grumpy well not at the moment.

Cute Card Thursday Sketch

Before I left home I managed to make this card using the sketch on Cute Card Thursday. It's another of those manga images from Secret Crafter. The papers are Doodlebug but the red spotty was in my stash of paper with no name on.
I used my new MS punch which I love at the moment and the retro flower punch. The centres of the flowers is with Kaiser paper using an EK sucess punch, I was trying to copy the flowers on the papers.  I used the swirl punch also from EK sucess and corners are a quickutz die.
Simply wouldn't be my card if there wasn't a bit of ribbon.
After today I might be able to blow of the dust of my copics and give them a proper go at colouring.

High Hopes Sunday

The challenge on High Hopes Challenge blog is to make a bookmark, I thought the bit of card that I chop off to make a square card would be ideal.
Since its a tall card this way Stretch the giraffe would be ideal. The cards stock was embossed using a cuttlebug folder. I used my cropadile to make the hole and used an eyelet so that it gave it some strength to hold the ribbon.
I used a palm tree for the back but somehow I 've managed to delete the photo and since I'm at Sis, the photo is not available to put back on this post.

Now having a real headache with Mr Blogger since he has now posted this, not sure How I did this!
Anyway we had a fab time down in Bristol although my hubby can't understand if I made 15 cards how come I only manage 1 or 2 at home! It was lovely to meet old friends as well as new and I'm off to buy Morrisons shaving foam cos it only 34p.

Distressing Saturday

My favourite challenge is on Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge, OK I'm being sarcastic but if you read my blog regularly you will know how much I love distressing but I don't give up easily. Out came my Tim Holtz distressing tool, each page of Cosmo Cricket was inked to death, even the doily border wasn't left out.
You have to have distressed flowers and this time I made some distressing leaves! The sheet of Cosmo Cricket rulers was on my desk and the turquoise one caught my eye and thought it would be the finishing touch.
The cute couple are Secret Crafter very own range of manga stamps, they work really well together.
There's something missing on my card but its far too busy to add it.
It's very odd but I've packed to got to the All day Card Making day in Bristol and all I've got is my tool bag and a bag with a 12 by 12 plastic box in, I usually pack the kitchen sink. I've even taken stuff out of my tool bag cos the things were not on my list I was given, hope I don't regret it.

Purple Birthday

A little while ago I brought some goodies from Simon Says Stamps and a Kaiser 6inch pad fell into my basket as well. They are gorgeous some are glittered, some are embossed and some have like touchy feely felt and I've only just been able to cut into them gosh it was hard.
I coloured this PB image to match but it seems the red should be more pink it doesn't look too bad in RL but of course the camera isn't so generous.
The sketch is from Papertake Weekly and Debbie over at Spoonful of Sugar is celebrating a special birthday so the challenge is for a Birthday card.
Phew the journey on Monday really took it out of me and I've struggled all week but today I'm feeling almost back to normal.

Friday's Wedding

Since tomorrow is Friday I better put this card on my blog before Friday Sketchers put a new sketch up on their blog tomorrow.
My couple are a Francoise Read stamps from Woodware and the papers are out of a PaperMania pad which is nearly all roses except these papers. Ithink I may have overdone the gems  and I had to put a bit of ribbon somewhere. The sentiment I was a bit naughty with, it comes with the set but on a long strip and I chopped it in two and now it fits in the stampin' up punches.
I'm really running behind on my card making not helped by making a DT card for the wrong challenge and I'm out all weekend. I'm going to Bristol for a day of cardmaking and Sunday I'm going to a Copic class at Farnborough, so I need to get my bum in gear and get a move on.
Oh and before I forget my Mr and Mrs Foxglove got top 3 over on the Whiff of Joy Challenge blog.

Things with Wings

Who needs an excuse to use butterflies or things that fly well there is one over on Simon Says Stamps Challenge cos thats the challenge Things with Wings. The DT is showcasing CC designs, of course when I chose this cute couple I forgot they didn't have wings but I think they're such a cute couple and great for Engagement cards.
So I had to rely on my butterfly punches for the things with wings, such a hardship! I've also used the Linen Closet Pad from DCWV and pearls to finish the butterflies, finally a bit of ribbon.
You don't have to use CC Designs, although if you do we would love to see a card made with one but its not a requirement. Do check out the rest of the DT and don't forget there's a $25 prize to spend at Simon Says stamps.
No waffling today since I'm not quite awake yet.

Everybody Art Challenge

There's a fabulous sketch over on Everybody Art Challenge and you all know I love sketches. I've used a Sarah Kay stamps and that My Minds Eye pad.
I'm loving this MS round the page punch even though this one is not completly round the page. A few flowers and roses with a few pearl to finish.  Do check out the rest of the DT.
I'm finally at home and will be catching up with everyone now that I've a PC that actually loads in seconds and not hours!
I'm really pleased we went to see Sis's friend last time was a very stressful time, her friend was very poorly and was taken to hospital within ten minutes of us arriving. This time is was lovely to see her brighter and comfortable in the pallative care of the local cottage hospital and if time allows I think my Sis would like to go again possible next week.

Robin and Snow White

I've got into trouble by putting Edwin on here with Snow White Tilda, DD remarked that the Huntsman wanted to cut out Snow White's heart! So I'm going to call him Robin and the forest that Snow White lived in was Sherwood. I love this cute Tilda and I've seen her coloured up as Snow White I so wanted to have a go too.

The papers are Cosmo Cricket and the Postman brought some yellow Roses from Wild Orchid just in time. A touch of lace and a heavy handed distressing of the white mat, behind Edwin. The sketch is Just Magnolia who are celebrating a year of challenges.

I've had a great day yesterday at Scrapbuddies and managed to do 3 layouts for 52-10 challenge on Scrapdolly's blog, I'm still a few weeks behind.

Fingers crossed the traffic will be good for us for our trip to Wales and hopefully we'll make it back in one day.

Mr and Mrs Foxglove

I'm growing to like these Gnomes, I wasn't keen of them at first, I especially wanted to get this couple. Now that I've met Marcel and Katharina of WOJ, somehow this stamp reminds me of them. Strong, tall Marcel and the cheeky Katharina with her video camera popping up behind him. Just need a couple of little Gnomes for their two boys and the picture will be complete.

Sorry I'm writing this post again in the evening and waffling again.

I made this card for the WOJ challenge of Green, Yellow and another colour, in my case Brown. I think it could be Basic Grey Origins I've used again and the sketch is from Truly Scrumptious. Once I put the ribbons on I thought it was too busy to add much else and I didn't want to hide the mat that I used the MS around the page punch on.
Well I've frozen Sis's PC at least twice, this PC would drive me potty, no I tell a lie it is driving me potty. I promise never to moan about mine again!!!!!!!!!!

Grillin' Joseph

Well this is the perfect card for the weather we're having in the UK, its for the High Hopes Challenge for The Good Enough to eat challenge. I was over the moon when Tina from High Hopes stamps sent me this chap and so perfect for a man.

Now if you check back to my Princess Ladybird yesterday those pinky papers are Kaiser papers and these that I've used today are the same papers but they're not so pinky now so these papers are truly unisex, don't you love double sided papers.

Typically since this card is for a man that rather puts paid to any floral embellies so we will just have to stick with buttons.

I thinking of moving permanently to live with my Sis since the boys (Grumpy and Hubby) worked late last night so we stayed over and Sis needs to go to Wales again so I going to be the navigator. So to avoid someone picking me up I'm staying tonight as well.

Hubby was dead happy to bring all my stuff for the crop, bags for staying over and the wheelchair in case we need it for any shopping diversion, next time we get a car I think he's planning on getting a large van.

Princess Ladybird

Yes I'm back, just when you thought it safe to go back out to blog land, I sneaked another post in.
This is my card for Pink Gem Designs, isn't she cute do love her bob haircut. Did you know Janet does Digi images now, it doesn't help me since Mr H P Inkjet doesn't like sansodor and I don't have the patience to play around with fixative spray or embossing.
I used the latest Sketch and Stash sketch and the doily punch for the circle border. The papers are Kaiser and they're double sided and they're all pink and girly. Gems and Stickles to finish and it just wouldn't be my card if there wasn't a bit of ribbon somewhere.
Don't forget to join in with the Gem of a Challenge, there's a free digi image if you don't have any stamps and its a really easy challenge.
I trying to get my stuff together for the ScrapBuddies crop tomorrow and I've loads of stuff I want to do but I'll probably end up nattering and doing nothing again.

A day trip

I didn't realise how often I was going to use this Basic Grey pad, its been perfect for Sunny and Spring cards and today's card is no exception. This is for the challenge over on Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge which A day trip.
So with this Tilda in mind and this background stamp I thought of a day trip to the seaside or sometimes (when I was little) we used to go to Frensham pond which had a sandy bank. I used the retro flowers and sunny yellow brads and a few gems to finish, the sentiment is from Hero Arts clear set.
I am feeling extremely guilty I've so many uninked stamps (ok only a little bit guilty) I honestly don't know where to start, love all the Magnolia's but I forgot I ordered the Belles and Whistles sweeties and then the lovely Wendy sent me her new Manga ones. which are so cute.
I've been thinking too, yes I do occasionally, Pinky asked if I always 3D my images and my brother moaned that my cards are expensive to post. I wondered whether to go flat but would I be happy. Even before cute cards were so popular, I always did some 3d and my cards didn't look right unless there was something on them for dimension. So will I change, er NO.
I've started to schedule my post the night before and now I realise why I shouldn't, it seems I waffle on in the evening, obviously not quite awake when I create a post in the morning.

Ballerina Puddy Cat

So I finally managed to do the Penny Black Saturday Challenge, just has well the new one will be up tomorrow. It was a nice easy challenge to use Buttons and being so original, as usual I've used buttons for the middle of my flowers.
Yes that is the My Minds Eye pack I brought The Range when I last visited MIL and yes there's still loads to go. The flowers I've feeling they came from Tabbycrafts and I used the deep MS daisy border punch for the edging round the over and the other half for the border.
I'm slightly concerned that I regard the PB cats and mice as male, so this would be a male cat dressed up as a ballerina!

Peace

Well we all know Mr Blogger sometime misbehaves but now Mr Hotmail has been naughty too. I was asked to be GDT at the Stampin' Sisters in Christ and the attachment with my card as gone astray. But the wonderful girls over on the blog have gone through some of my cards on my blog and used them instead.
This was the inspiration for the this weeks challenge.

Philippians 4:4-7 "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

This is the Challenge: Make a card/project about prayer and/or peace.

This was the actual card I made for the challenge. I used a WOJ image and I pretty sure the bird isn't meant to be a Dove but I've coloured it as one. The DCWV Linen Closet is so elegant and speaks peaceful colours, so I had to use it and the gems are from Simon Says Stamps that they've been popping into their orders. The sentiment was made using Word on the PC and was a line from a prayer.
Thanks once again to the Stampin' Sisters to allow me to join in their challenge.

Darling Tilda

Now I know you've probably see this Tilda about for sometime but unfortunately I wasn't able to go to the NEC and get my hands on these pretties so I had to pre-order and wait patiently, they arrived at the end of last week, and I've only had time to play with them now.
I followed the sketch on A Spoonful of Sugar and I've used the DCWV Linen Closet, I know I've used it again, love it so much that I brought the pad. I started with just a taster pack from Bunny Zoe's crafts but saw the pad at Ally Pally and had to have it. So that means you will get to see it even more.
Swiss dots embosing folder and a MS round the pages punches and some Wild Orchid flowers with a touch of glitter. Tilda herself as been glamourised with glamour dust.
I've been really busy trying to get ahead of myself with DT work since it looks like another trip to Wales maybe in the pipeline. This time though we not going Tuesday and get caught at Abergavenny on Market day what a nightmare. I shall make sure I've a paper bag, now that I realise that you can't hold your breath going over the Severn Bridge, I shall need the bag for when I hyperventilate and this is the person planning on going on a Helicopter in Vegas!

Let's go to the Movies

Let's go to the Movies, well not at this moment but the challenge over at Simon Says Stamps challenge is just that. I've always thought this WOJ stamp looked a bit James Bond but he wasn't my first choice the card below I was thinking of James Dean, but I felt the card didn't work very well for the challenge.
Back to James Bond the card was inspired by the image below and papers are those DCWV Linen closet. A cuttlebug embossing folder, not forgetting MS punch and the ticket, well lets say this was the best one.
I printed off the words off the PC and used a ticket stamp with the words covered and stamped over the printed ones, I know its off centre but trust me after several attempts this was the best one.
This time I used DCWV citrus pack and I think the sketch was last weeks papertake weekly but don't hold me to that. I just wasn't happy with this card I think because I was thinking a man's card that it all went boring.
Don't forget to check out the DT and there's a fab prize of $25 for the winner to spend at Simon Says Stamps too.

Patchwork Sarah Kay

What a great challenge over on Everybody Art Challenge its Patchwork. I was going to cheat, there's a fab sheet in the DCVW Linen Closet that is already done in a patchwork way but because I'm on DT I thought I wouldn't cheat.
Since I had one, I went looking for my diamond patchwork template do you think I could find it but I found this one instead, didn't realise I had this one. So I painsaking made the bit of patchwork adding tiny bits to make the rectangle then promptly put a large bit cardstock on it with the image. I've almost hid it and the yummy chocolate ribbon isn't helping either. Next time I'm sticking with squares, but I do love this Sarah Kay with her cute hat.
Don't forget to check out the challenge blog, the DT have done a wonderful job.
