Summer Fruits

Time for new challenge on Simon Says Stamp Challenge

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog

 and this week its
Summer Fruits

The team are also using American Crafts products but thats not a requirement for the challenge just the DT chance to show what amazing products Simon Says Stamps have in their store.

I'll be honest I wasn't that pleased with my card but this was the last one I made before I went on Holiday and Mr Mojo obviously left for his before mine.
The papers are American Crafts My Girl and since I had the new Leanne Butterfly die, also the Flower Friend dies to go with the stamp set I had to have a go using them. Now looking at the leaves I wish I wasn't so lazy and actual stamped the leaves and used the die like the flower, oh well too late now.
The Hedgies are of course Penny Black called Strawberry Jam.

Now you know the drill to win the chance of this fabulous prize you have to enter the challenge with a new card no backlinking and you need to enter your post using the linky thing on the challenge blog. Also you need to link to the challenge in your post or you won't be eligible for the prize.

And there's more Christmas Album

I was very tempted not to post the above page because the pic was taken before I lost 3 stone and I couldn't believe how much I look like Mrs Brown from the tv series especially because we know what gender he really is. When I mentioned how much I look like the character at a crop they were sure I was wrong till they actually saw the pic and then burst out laughing.

I can't believe this is the last lot of scrapbooking I've done. Roll on number 25 because I'm going to give it a break even though I've loads of Christmas pics still to scrap but I've a Wedding and a New Baby photos and I'm a bit bored with Christmas now.
Back at 2pm with the latest Simon Says Stamps Challenge.

Wedding

Hopefully I've got the new challenge on Everybody Art Challenge right, it seems ages since I made this card but it should be for a Wedding card.
Now I've added a touch of colour because the Kaiser papers had that colour and then when I made the card I didn't use it but I've added a mat round the one I did use to bring the colour in.
My favourite Floral Oval well you have to for my Bride which is a Saturated Canary I've had this image so long I believe its not in Krista shop anymore.
Now since time was in short supply before I went on hols I had to CAS my way and just added some Delicate Fern leaves from a Memory box die and the flowers with pearls on clear stems were in my stash. Finished with Simon Says Stamps Butterfly but I added the body from a Memory box butterfly but do like the size and the swirls of Simons butterfly.
Do pop over and check out the team.

The Tramp

Yes I'm back but I'm pretty sure you don't want to know that I've only seen clear blue skies for a week and now I need a holiday to get over how hard I've pushed myself. It will take a few days for me to get back to normal so cards have been made in advance till the end of the week.
Including this one I made for my Dad for Father's Day using Mo Manning The Tramp and I'm cross with myself I can't remember the papers, has I've tidy up before I left and its not in the usual pile.
Also I'm pretty sure I saw a sketch and this was result but it was a while ago in preparation of going on holiday and making sure Dad had all his cards, its his 89th Birthday today.
Right off to start catching up and finding out whats everyone been up too.

Two Butterflies

I'm pretty sure this was a sketch from Freshly Made Sketches but several weeks ago but I saw it on a scrap of paper of my desk and I needed a quick card and I had these papers left over from the Wedding card and decided to use them.
The papers are Echo Park possibly Devoted if not it was definitely a Valentines pack.
You must be sick of me using the same things but yes that is the Fresh Foliage die from Memory Box and that is again the ornament punch from Stamping Up but cut the bottom off a lot for my plant pot.  Again those butterflies are the Kars punch can't believe how cheap this punch was and its paid for itself dozen times over.
The scallop down the side is the Martha Stewart punch with most of the pattern hidden.
I should be back from my hols but I'm scheduling my post, in case I'm extremely tired and not up yet.
Luckily I've worked out posts till the 20th but I haven't written them yet but I don't have to worry about DT deadlines and can take it easy the next couple of days and just do what I fancy.

Lets go Fly a Kite

I've used this pussy cat Fly with Me a few times cos he's so cute and quick to colour up especially mice colours.
Also gave me an excuse of using the Flat Bottom Clouds ( really must stop calling them fat bottom girls) from Simon Says Stamps. There are free different sizes so I've just used two and even then I just cut of the side possibly a bit too quick but at this point I still had another 4 cards to make before I went away and time was running out on me.
So the papers are Doodlebug, gutted cos they're nearly all gone, the sketch sorry was from somewhere possibly Stamp with fun a couple of weeks ago.
The flowers are CC Designs Five Point Flower die in different colours I've been using a foam pad for my flowers but they do crease if you not gentle and slowly build up, having to do this cos my hands are struggling with the embossing. But these creased a little possibly because it was decent cardstock,

Fore You

Yes I'm still on Man cards I think there should only be one more but I could be lying because over the course of a couple weeks I've made loads of card to post on my blog because if you haven't guessed by now I'm actually not here in the UK.
Oh yes I'm on my girlie week in Spain but I'm back soon and I shall need a holiday to get over it.
So back to my Big Guy card you can find the image in Mo's Manning shop
I think the papers are Bo Bunny and the grass is a Doo Hickey die, looks like he's in the rough I'm sure thats the golfing term.
Similar to the LOTV golf card I've used a banner, well what else can you use for a mans card but I've used some rub ons for the sentiment. As with the other card used the same sentiment and used the Simon Says Stamp Especially You die again.

Butterfly Baby

I'm not sure that the pink works well not in the photo, likes so much better in real life. But there is no doubting that Mos Baby Fairy Butterfly is adorable.
Not sure where the sketch is from but it cried out for the Joy corners which now look they've taken over the whole card.
I used the Leafy Branch from Memory box for the corner and some EK Success punched flowers. The butterflies are from a couple of punches that I've had probably since I first started cardmaking about the 14 years ago and one of them has issues but a quick snip and you wouldn't know.
